Real Feats: Peter Knowles, Ultramarathon Runner

“No Blisters. No Rub. Just Kept Moving.”

Meet Peter:
Peter runs ultramarathons — anything beyond a marathon, often in the most challenging conditions. He’s not chasing glory, just the satisfaction of seeing what he’s capable of, one step at a time.

The Challenge:

  • 89km at the Berkeley Marathons, carrying 7kg of kit for over 10 hours
  • The MDS Ultra: sunrise to sunset across the Sahara, sand in his shoes, sweat and friction at every turn

How The Feats Helped:

Peter used Chafe Guard Anti-Chafe Balm for both events. Here’s what he said:

  1. “I used The Feats for my last two ultras. At Berkeley — 89km, two laps, 10+ hours, all my kit — not a single blister. No rubbing, even with a heavy pack.
  2. At the MDS Ultra, I was running through the Sahara. No gaiters, so sand everywhere. Every six kilometres, I’d stop and put The Feats on. Without it, my feet would have been in pieces — the sand and sweat would have turned my socks into sandpaper. But I finished with my feet intact. Again, not a single blister.”

The Result:

  • No blisters, no rubbing, no drama
  • Feet protected through hours of effort, in some of the world’s toughest conditions
  • Able to focus on the run, not the pain

Why It Matters:

Peter’s story isn’t about shortcuts or quick fixes. It’s about preparation, routine, and looking after yourself so you can keep doing what you love. The Feats is there for the everyday athlete — the ones who show up, put in the miles, and quietly get on with it.

Keep Moving.

If you’re putting in the effort, The Feats is here to help you go further, in comfort and with confidence.
