Alright, let’s talk about Mitch Hutchcraft — because if you’re into adventure, challenge, or just seeing what the human body (and mind) can actually do, you need to know this guy.
I am lucky enough to have followed and spoken to the man, and honestly, Mitch is the sort of person who makes you want to lace up, get out, and go do something wild. He’s the real deal — and his new book is up for pre-order here, so you can get a front-row seat to the madness. I have just pre-ordered mine! Can't wait!
Who Is Mitch Hutchcraft? (And Why Should You Care?)
Mitch isn’t just another “adventurer” with a GoPro and a big Instagram following. He’s the bloke who, at 16, soloed Kilimanjaro. Then he joined the Royal Marines and spent six years doing the kind of stuff most people only see in movies. But it’s what he’s done since that really blows my mind:
- Rowed 3,000 miles across the Atlantic. (Yes, miles. In a boat. With oars!!!)
- Cycled 5,000 km across the USA. Because apparently, flying is too easy.
- Did an Ironman triathlon while towing his 33kg golden retriever. I mean, come on.
Project Limitless: Everest, But Make It Even Harder
In 2024, Mitch decided to redefine “epic” with Project Limitless — a 13,000 km triathlon from England to the top of Everest. That’s not a typo. He:
- Swam the English Channel (cold, terrifying, jellyfish — the works)
- Cycled 12,000 km through 18 countries (saddle sores just reading that)
- Ran 900 km to Kathmandu (because why not)
- Trekked 360 km to Everest Base Camp
- Summited Everest on May 11, 2025
This was for an amazing cause — to raise half a million quid for veterans’ mental health and wildlife conservation. If you’re not inspired, check your pulse.
World Record? Sure, Why Not
Just to keep things spicy, Mitch ran 16 ultramarathons in 16 days — 710 km from the UK’s lowest point to the top of Ben Nevis. Inspired by his rescue dog, Teddy, and raising awareness for animal sanctuaries. The man doesn’t do “half measures.”
Why Mitch Matters (To Me, To You, To Anyone Who Moves)
Mitch is proof that adventure isn’t about ego — it’s about grit, heart, and giving back. He’s raised hundreds of thousands for charity, championed mental health, and shown what’s possible when you just refuse to quit. As someone who built The Feats to help people keep moving, I can’t think of a better role model.
